Telematics – the digital nerves of logistics
In his presentation, Heiko Boch explains why telematics is becoming the foundation for transparency, efficiency and safety – and is therefore a key component of the digitalisation of transport and logistics.
He will deliver his presentation at Transport Excellence Day, jointly organised by DHBW Ravensburg, the BVL (Federal Logistics Association), the LCS (Logistics Cluster Swabia e. V.) and IWT Wirtschaft und Technik GmbH.

Heiko Boch’s vision for the year 2032 shows that transport logistics will be more digitised, but a mix of modern technologies and traditional processes will remain. Real-time data, telematics and AI-supported planning are widespread, though not fully integrated everywhere, meaning that some processes will still be coordinated manually.
System disconnects persist, even as systems increasingly converge and become better integrated. Automation is on the rise, but remains supportive rather than fully autonomous. Certain traditional processes deliberately retain their strengths.
This creates a balanced interplay between digital efficiency and tried-and-tested working methods.
Look forward to a practical insight into telematics in data-driven and connected transport logistics – why not register today?
