Systems and Software Development Engineer (m/f/d)

We are a dynamic team with short reporting and decision paths. We are looking for a committed system and software development engineer (m/f/d) to immediately strengthen our development team in Ulm.

Your tasks will be exciting development projects from A to Z: standard components for telematic systems and retrofit products in the automotive environment. You are an interdisciplinary technical pioneer and provide ideas and impulses for the further development of the products. We provide an agile SCRUM team and a collegial working atmosphere.

Job description

Whether telematic, navigation or embedded software and systems in general: Our dedicated development team in the area of basic technologies and application development is programmed for growth. And is waiting for your contribution soon! Because there are some highly innovative projects in the pipeline that will accompany you right from the start. Here are just a few examples:

  • When setting up mobile embedded software components, which can be assembled in modules according to the modular principle, your experience in the field of software design and development is always particularly important.
  • We will also count on your know-how in the development of product solutions in the after-sales market, for example when it comes to equipping our telematic systems with new innovative functionality.

In accordance with your sound software design and architecture experience, which you will bring along, you will also be responsible for the design and conception of standard components and actively participate in all stages and processes of software development - up to the final test. With all the freedom you require to be able to work independently. Does that sound like a lot of variety and an exciting task for you? It definitely is!

Your qualification

  • Technical study-based degree (University/TC/BA Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar) - At least 3 years experience in the field of software development
  • Specification and design of multitasking software architectures on embedded systems
  • Application of design patterns and handling object-oriented concepts
  • Programming experience in at least one of the following languages: Java, C#, C/C++
  • Ability to utilise frameworks and class libraries such as OSGi, JEE, ASP.NET
  • XML and SQL
  • Operating systems such as embedded Linux but also Windows and Windows CE
  • Experience in working with IoT platforms

Your initiative and your structured, goal-oriented way of working are also important to us. You will also be prepared to keep your knowledge up to date - even on your own! We assume that you speak and write English very well.
